ANBAGAM - CSI Home for the Aged

A Home of Love, Care and Dignity for Senior Citizens

Quick Brief

Anbagam is a blessed ministry that began over 50 years ago, in 1975, at Thirunindravur as a day care centre dedicated to supporting and caring for elderly people, founded in the spirit of Christian love and compassion. This noble mission was initiated by Bishop Rt. Rev. Lesley Newbigin, inspired by Christ’s teachings of caring for the aged, the weak, and the needy. Guided by faith and prayer, Anbagam later moved to Adyar on April 9, 1979, where it was established in a better-equipped building with enhanced facilities. Today, Anbagam continues its calling as a home of love, care, and dignity, reflecting Christian values of service, mercy, and fellowship for senior citizens.

The Current Management

Anbagam functions under the leadership and spiritual guidance of the Church. The Home is wholly administered by the CSI Diocese of Madras, ensuring that its mission of service is carried out in accordance with Christian values and principles.

Under their guidance, Anbagam continues its ministry of caring for the elderly with compassion, dignity, and faith……
